Update on the Smolyan outage: modem repaired – router fault identified
The modem damaged by a voltage surge is fully operational again. A follow-up check found a further fault in the router, which is still delaying the full restoration of the internet connection. We apologise for the inconvenience.
As previously reported, the modem at our Smolyan site was damaged by a voltage surge when power returned after a power failure.
Modem back in service
The technician visit has taken place. The modem has been successfully repaired and is fully operational again. The connection to the provider's network is up.
New finding: router fault
A follow-up check of the entire network path revealed a further fault in the router. Based on current findings, this device was also affected by the power failure. As a result, the internet connection at this site remains limited.
Current status
- Modem: repaired and in service.
- Router: fault identified, repair under way.
- We will post an update here as soon as the connection is fully restored.
